Have you ever heard this line? Chances are, if you’re a James Taylor fan, it’s familiar to you!
I LOVE this song, and I think the lyrics are quite profound. They really speak to me and the season of life that I am currently in. “Enjoying the passage of time” … isn’t that what Simple Living is all about?
“Try not to try too hard, it’s just a lovely ride.”
Take your pick of of these videos (or enjoy them both) and see if you agree. These 2 performances are over 4 decades apart, but both are fabulous!
I was lucky enough to see JT in concert several times over the years. Most recently I saw him with his special guest, Jackson Browne, in New Orleans in 2021. It was a huge sold out show, and James and Jackson donated ALL of the proceeds to the Hurricane Ida recovery effort. They are two class acts, for sure!
